The Hunger Site is the world's first "click to donate" site where more than 65 million visitors have donated more than 7,700 metric tons of free food to help feed the hungry. They have done this by visiting the Hunger Site daily and simply clicking a button. Join them - it doesn't cost YOU a thing. The donations of staple food, paid for by the Hunger Site's sponsors, are distributed to the world's hunger hot-spots by the United Nations World Food Programme.

The same site also lets you help fight cancer and protect the rainforests just by clicking a button.

Give Water was a similar site set up by Thames Water where your clicks enable donations to be made to WaterAid the UK's only major charity dedicated to the provision of safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene promotion to the world's poorest people. WaterAid works in fifteen countries in Africa and Asia and has helped over six and a half million people to date. By clicking for free, you contribute towards their vital work. The click to donate process seems to have gone but this is still a site worth visiting and allows real on-line donations to be made.

Traidcraft is the UK's leading independent fair trade organisation. Fair trade is about giving poor workers in the "third world" countries the opportunity to use their skills with dignity.

Christian Aid works in over 60 countries helping people, regardless of religion or race, to improve their own lives and tackle the causes of poverty and injustice.

The Fairtrade Mark is a guarantee to the consumer that the producers have been paid a fair price and work in safe and decent conditions, with respect for the local environment. The Mark is independent verification from an organisation - the Fairtrade Foundation - set up to promote fairer international trade in mainstream commercial markets. From time to time we shall promote various fairtrade products and suppliers through banners and logos on this site. If you haven't already done so check out Divine chocolate.

Oxfam GB is a development, relief and campaigning organisation dedicated to finding lasting solutions to poverty and suffering around the world. Oxfam believes that every human being is entitled to a life of dignity and opportunity. Oxfam works with poor communities, local partners, volunteers and supporters to help this become a reality. People support Oxfam in many different ways. They give money; they give their time and they take campaigning action. EVERYONE CAN HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE, no matter how little time they have.

The Methodist Relief and Development Fund (MRDF) is an independent charity rooted in the Methodist Church. Through the generosity of its supporters, MRDF provides grants to partners working on small-scale development programmes throughout Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, South and Central America and Eastern Europe. It responds to disasters and emergencies through local Methodist Churches, partners and Action by Churches Together and supports development education programmes within the United Kingdom.
